Sugar Faced Bay Area Cake Pricing & Policies

Thank you for choosing Sugar Faced Bay Area. Please review the pricing and policies below before placing your order. By submitting your deposit, you acknowledge and agree to the terms listed here.

Cake Pricing

Standard cakes start at $6.00 per serving before tax. Final pricing depends on the size of the cake and the level of customization requested, including design complexity, specialty fillings, fondant work, toppers, edible images, handmade decorations, metallic details, and other custom elements.

Prices below include applicable sales tax:

• 6" Round | Serves approximately 18 | $119.61

• 8" Round | Serves approximately 22 | $146.19

• 10" Round | Serves approximately 32 | $212.64

• 12" Round | Serves approximately 40–56 | $292.38

Serving counts are estimates and may vary depending on how the cake is cut.

A 4" smash cake may be added to any standard cake order for $15.00.

Sugar Faced Bay Area does not provide candles.

Order Changes

Any changes to your order, including the event date, pickup or delivery date, cake size, flavor, filling, colors, decorations, design, wording, or other details, must be requested at least five days before your event date.

All changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.

Changes requested within five days of the event may not be accommodated. If work has already begun or supplies have already been purchased, certain changes may not be possible even if requested before the five-day deadline.

Deposits & Payments

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required once your order has been confirmed.

Your order is not considered booked and your date is not reserved until the deposit has been received.

An invoice will be sent by email. Payment may be made through Venmo or Zelle.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than the day before your scheduled order date.

Orders with an unpaid balance may not be released for pickup or delivery.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your order, the cancellation must be submitted in writing.

The 50% deposit is non-refundable because it reserves your date and allows Sugar Faced Bay Area to begin planning your order, purchasing supplies, preparing decorations, and turning away other orders for the same date.

If Sugar Faced Bay Area must cancel your order and cannot fulfill it, any payments made toward the unfulfilled order will be refunded.

Allergen Information

Sugar Faced Bay Area products are prepared in a home kitchen that handles ingredients that contain or may come into contact with:

Wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, and other allergens.

Some products may also contain food colorings, including Red 40 and Yellow 5.

Please inform Sugar Faced Bay Area of any food allergies or dietary concerns before placing your order.

Because all products are prepared in a shared kitchen environment, Sugar Faced Bay Area cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergen cross-contact.

Pickup

Orders are available for pickup in Hayward, California at the agreed-upon date and time.

Weekend pickup:
Saturday and Sunday pickup is generally available between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Weekday pickup:
Weekday pickup is available by arrangement and must be discussed in advance.

Please arrive within your scheduled pickup window. If you are running late, contact Sugar Faced Bay Area as soon as possible.

Delivery

Delivery is available for an additional fee.

Delivery mileage is calculated using the current IRS standard mileage rate for business use and is based on the round-trip mileage from Sugar Faced Bay Area to the delivery location.

The IRS mileage rate may change periodically. The rate in effect when your delivery fee is calculated will be used.

Additional charges may apply for:

• Bridge tolls

• Parking fees

• Venue access fees

• Multiple delivery locations

• Difficult venue access

• Excessive waiting time

• Incorrect or changed delivery addresses

• Additional travel or delivery time

Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address, venue instructions, parking information, access instructions, and a reliable contact person.

Changes to the delivery location may result in an adjustment to the delivery fee.

Delivery fees cover transportation and delivery only. Dessert table setup, cake setup, decorating, arranging desserts, or venue styling are not included unless specifically listed on your invoice.

Cake Responsibility After Pickup or Delivery

Once your order has been picked up or successfully delivered, Sugar Faced Bay Area is no longer responsible for damage caused by:

• Transportation

• Sudden stops or turns

• Improper handling

• Improper storage

• Heat or humidity

• Direct sunlight

• Weather conditions

• Movement of the cake

• Accidental damage after the order has been transferred to the customer or venue

Customers picking up cakes should transport them on a flat, level surface in an air-conditioned vehicle.

The floorboard or flat cargo area is recommended.

Do not transport cakes on car seats, laps, or other angled surfaces.

Please drive carefully and avoid sudden stops, sharp turns, or rapid acceleration.

Storing Your Cake

Heat, humidity, and direct sunlight can damage decorated cakes.

Keep your cake boxed and in a cool environment until it is ready to be displayed.

Do not leave cakes inside a hot vehicle or in direct sunlight.

Cakes containing fillings or frostings that require refrigeration should remain refrigerated until appropriate for serving.

For best texture and flavor, follow any storage or serving instructions provided with your order.

Cake Cutting

Serving estimates are based on recommended cake-cutting portions.

Sugar Faced Bay Area can provide cutting instructions to help you achieve the estimated number of servings.

For fondant-covered cakes, use a large, sharp knife to make clean cuts through the fondant and cake.

For tiered cakes, remove decorations, toppers, dowels, supports, and cake boards as you reach each tier.

Custom Designs

Inspiration photos are welcome and can be used as a guide for your order.

Because each cake is handmade, Sugar Faced Bay Area does not guarantee an exact duplicate of another baker's work, an inspiration image, or a previously created cake.

Colors, decorative placement, handmade pieces, flowers, toppers, and other design elements may vary slightly while maintaining the overall agreed-upon theme and design.

Final Approval

Please review your invoice carefully before submitting your deposit.

It is the customer's responsibility to confirm that all important details are correct, including:

• Event date

• Pickup or delivery information

• Cake size

• Flavor and filling

• Design

• Colors

• Names

• Ages

• Wording

• Quantity

• Additional items or services

Any errors discovered after approval are subject to the order-change policy above.
